Passion and Desire

"If ever should these waiting lips,
Touch softly on your face;
They'll leave a trail of passion,
Time never will erase."

Passion And Desire

If passion were a flame of fire,
That burned into my soul;
I'd be consumed by this inferno,
By you who makes me whole.

Just like the moth who can't resist,
Who's drawn into the fire;
I dance around the flickering light,
Of passion and desire.

I look so deeply in your eyes,
At the hair I long to touch;
I hear my name come whispering,
'Cross lips I need so much.

My heart is filled with longing,
I stand too near the fire.
Again I'm drawn by the music,
Of passion and desire.

My hands reach out to touch you,
I live for one look from your eyes;
I whisper your name in the quiet times,
My love too strong to deny.

I dance to the tune of your music,
I sway in the glow of your fire.
Ever drawn into this inferno,
Of passion and desire.

Love is

Love is

Love is acceptance without exceptions

Its boundaries without limitations

Its an exact measure of an imprecise proportion

Its something pure and delicate

Its losing your self inside one another

Without asking questions or questioning who, what and where

Its all these things and nothing else

But a little more of what you have inside to give

Its giving without anticipation of receiving

Its selfless and helpless

Its vulnerable to impartiality

Its safety and security when everything else around is falling apart

Its making time when there is no time

For each other, for yourselves

Its never really being alone

Just always being

Its together

No manual, no how-to-guide

No rules, no gimmicks, its sink or swim

Love has its own life that outlives the ones who love

Its undying, destined to outlast even Romeo and Juliet

Its an everlasting love

that lives on and on

Creating new life on its own

love is creation

Its all around

Love is being a care giver

To the one whom cries out in distress

For the love desired

To fill an empty space

Love is all these things

But if you must ask

Then surely you need to find out for yourself

Because this definition of love is tied to that which defines

What love is

Love Is Us

You are my love

You Are My Love

You are the essence of comfort and acceptance
Forever encouraging and loving me
For who I am and who I wish to be
Radiating your love like the warmth of a favorite blanket
I am wrapped within your heart.

You are like the ocean's tide
Constant and beautiful, yet forever changing
I watch in wonder at your many hues
Like that of a glorious sunset
The colors of you are infinite.

You are the one I need to seek
When I experience a newness in life
I want to share it with you and only you
Like a sturdy oak I lean on your strength
When I feel like a Weeping Willow.

You are eternal
You are woven into my soul forever
Etched into my life.
You are My Love

Sweet Romantic Things to Do for Your Sweetheart

Sweet Romantic Things to Do for Your Sweetheart
By Kathryn D'Imperio

1. Leave little love notes or piles of candy when you visit each other. Stash them away where your honey will be sure to find them, whether in the car, under his/her pillow or in a travel bag.

2. Call just because you are thinking of him or her leave a cute message in the voicemail or send a text message with a sweet or seductive meaning. If you prefer to leave a message as opposed to talking, call when you know he or she is unavailable so a little something sweet is waiting upon return to the cell phone, home or office.

3. Send an email, or better yet, get old-fashioned and send a letter or a card through the mail to express your love. After all, who doesnt love getting mail (well, except for bills!) as a surprise?

4. When you are getting together for an evening or even for just a few minutes, pick up his or her favorite treat or snack, a specialty coffee or dessert as a sweet surprise. If you are going to rent a movie or spend some quiet time at home, get a few snacks to enjoy with a flick or some television.

5. Speaking of renting movies, surprise your sweetheart with a movie you pick out that you know he or she would really enjoy. I often have a difficult time making up my mind about which movie to rent, so it would definitely be a huge but much appreciated step if I brought one over that I knew he would like.

6. You know those sweet things you think of when you are together or just thinking about your honey? Well, next time a thought pops in your mind, voice it! Girls especially love to know what wonderful things go on in the inner workings of their guys minds, so chances are, guys may also enjoy a few catch phrases.

7. When you spend time together, help each other out with chores to free up more time to spend together. Sometimes lending a hand can even be fun when you are both working together.

8. Swap massages, or simply give your partner a massage if you get the idea that he or she has had a long day. Foot massages and back rubs can do wonders for relaxing people and alleviating stress. Many males seem to enjoy having their backs gently scratched or rubbed softly as a means of helping them to relax.

9. Bring home take-out from a favorite dining establishment after a long day so the two of you can enjoy some food in the comfort of your own home. It isnt quite as romantic as cooking it yourself, but it is definitely a nice gesture.

10. Pick wildflowers or give a single rose or carnation for no reason. I even found a four-leaf clover once to give to my sweetheart.

12. Do something you may not want to, simply because it is important to him or her. This can be anything from attending a show or an event to doing a chore, giving up a bad habit or just trying something new. Find out what is important to him or her if you dont already know, and make it happen.

13. Spend time with his or her family. The seriousness of a relationship can sometimes be gauged by how one interacts with his or her partners family. Spending time at your honeys familys home can also serve to strengthen your relationship.

14. Spend extra time getting readydress up or wear something that you know your sweetheart loves to see on you.

15. Snuggle up and take a nap together. There is nothing quite like falling asleep and waking up in the arms of the one you love.

16. Play romantic music and dance together. Slowly dancing around the room to a favorite song can mean so much more when it is completely unexpected.

17. Go on a picnic! Gather your favorite foods, drinks and desserts, a comfortable blanket and some utensils, plates, cups and napkins and head out for the park on a beautiful day. Go for a walk in the park while you are there and enjoy all of the nature around you.

18. Carry his or her photo in your wallet. Keep your sweetie present at all times by putting a photo of him/her or the two of you together in your wallet, at work, in your car or wherever you think you would most like to see it.

19. Bring your sweetheart to visit places you came to know and love in your childhood. Parks, playgrounds, the zoo, pumpkin patches, museums, amusement parks, beaches, boardwalks and any other attractions that you enjoyed as a child can bring back happy memories to share with your significant other.

20. Share your daydreams. Whatever makes your heart soar at thoughts of the future, consider sharing those ideas with your special one. Daydreaming together can be a very romantic and emotional experience, whether it is fully in jest or in a degree of serious contemplation.

21. Spray a little bit of your perfume or cologne on his or her pillow. You will be on each others minds to begin with, but the lingering scent after you have gone separate ways for the night will bring sweeter dreams than usual.

22. Send romantic ecards to your sweetheart. If you are already intimate, send sensual ecards!

Finding summer romance

Finding Summer Romance
By Jayne Fisher

Sometimes summer romances can bloom into what feels like the greatest love of your life. Maybe it's the heat, maybe it's the fact that summer is so short and sweet, or maybe it is just plain true love when you're not looking, but there's something about love in the summer that makes it unique. Im sure we can all look back and remember at least one such summer love. Bittersweet and full of promise.

We are never too old to indulge again in a summer love. They can happen fast and yet you may be asking yourself - just how to I create a summer romance? Here are a few suggestions:

Think of carefree, sun-drenched tourists; the scent of coconut oil; a little tequila; and skin - skin everywhere! Who wouldnt be in feeling warm toward romance? So if its been a little chilly in your romance department so far this year, try a hot summer vacation to fire things up.
The opportunities are endless.

1. Let loose.
If youre generally shy, this is the one time you may have what it takes to loosen up a bit. Think about it. Youre in a new city - a stranger among strangers and no one to pass judgment. Reinvent yourself and live it up!

2. Fly solo.
If youre the adventurous type, traveling alone is a great way to meet people. Not only do you find yourself chit-chatting with everyone from the bellhop to the bartender, but fellow single travelers take notice when you ask for a table for one. Theres no harm in trying the old standby: Anyone sitting here?"

3. Look available.
Body language is everything, and flirtation doesnt hurt either. Smile at everyone and invite yourself into others conversations. All it takes for a woman to meet a man is one word: "Hi."

4. Look lost.
Youre new in town; you dont know your way around. Play dumb (but not too dumb) and ask for directions - even if you know youre standing right on top of your destination. Or ask someone to point out the best local hangout or place to eat; its a great quiet invitation into asking him or her to join you.

5. Group date.
Dating in a crowd still counts as dating and often can be easier than one-on-one. Feign the need for an extra person or persons to round out the required "group" for a deep-sea fishing trip. Or just flat out ask the person and his/her friend on the beach to join you for an adventure at sea.

6. Board the love boat.
Singles cruises are by far the best course of action for some action. The ship just screams "available" with group gatherings and activities at all hours. And what better way to get to know someone than by exploring an exciting port together all day?

7. Hit the gym.
If youre a fitness freak, show off that buff body at your hotel gym. The facilities are usually pretty small, so its easy to strike up a conversation. If you spot a cutie, and youre staying at the hotel for an extended period of time, visit the gym daily so you can see each other again and again. Continuity will get you far.

8. Be a sport.
Summer is also a good time to sweat (and release those pheromones), so get active on your vacation with some summer sports. Heres where the guys are, so you gals have an advantage. Take up golf; ask a stranger to be your tennis partner; get in on the beach volleyball game.

Most of all remember its hot and people like to spend time outdoors, especially if they've been cooped up at home during a cold gray winter. The newfound sense of freedom associated with summer's advent also leads to more than a few new relationships - the sun is shining, birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and everyone is in less clothes! Why not meet someone new and start something that will keep you warm through next winter?
The best advice anyone can give during these hot summer dates is to play it cool and just be you!

Autumn Love

Autumn Love
By Jayne Fisher

You know summer is saying her final goodbye when the leaves turn from green to yellow and then others turn into orange, red or even purple. You breathe in the crisp air and notice the sweet aroma of summer has turned into the smell of autumn rain still trapped within the skin of clouds and lovers. One senses that this scent of dew will soon become the silent snowflake seeking refuge on your nose. Ah…. Autumn has arrived and turns your head with her unmasking of a palette so bright as she begins to paint the landscape in hues unimaginable. As if waking from a languid dream you notice that life is in abundant change around you and preparing her creatures for the long cold days of winter.

Soon thoughts turn to pumpkins, homemade pies, raking leaves, crackling fires and steamy hot cider. Autumn is the perfect time for love. No other season comes “dressed” for the backdrop of a love play like Autumn. With Autumn comes the sense of urgency to get things done quickly before all becomes enveloped in the hush of winter white.

Walking through Autumn leaves with your love brings back a memory of a magic to time as a child when a pile of leaves was so much more than a nuisance. This is a wonderful opportunity to be that child again and play! Invite your sweetheart to hold you tight and just fall into those leaves together and you will find yourself falling in love, perhaps for the first time or the first time this Autumn.

Turn your head and everywhere couples are nestled into each other with soft whispers and their breaths captured in the icy air. Breathe in each other’s breath and become one. Slip your arms around each other and just take time to notice the days growing shorter and life being lived to the fullest. Harvest these fruits of Autumn and cherish the cycles of our seasons.

Echo again the changes that you see, Autumn……., with new beginnings just around the corner.
